...common animals in Cambodia
Okay, this is the fun part and what we have been trying to acheive all along. The subscript takes its consonant sound!!! Let's see how this works.CLICK HERE TO REFER TO the SUBSCRIPT PAGE ![]() ![]() GAR + ROR + BAR + sat AY = GARBAY Again you have the subscript "ROR" before the consonant "GAR". ![]() ![]() Remember the vowel "sat OA" is surrounding the consonant, "TDAR". Say "pant" in Khmer you will hear the "-OA" sound. KOAH. KOAH. KOAH. KOAH. TDOA. KOAH. TDOA. KOAH. TDOA. You getting it?? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Don't forget you have the subscript "ROR" under the consonant "KAR". HA-HA-HAH!! LOL. J I can see you're struggling with this one. Yeah, I know too many vowels at the end and you don't know where to start sounding out the vowels. HAHAHAH!! Sorry for laughing at all the folks out there :-), I cant help myself. Here is the rule of sounding more than one vowel surrounding a consonant. You always start with the consonant. Sound out any vowel(s) below the consonant in decending order. Top to Bottom. Then if you see a vowel above it sound out that last. COnsonant--->vowel below-->vowel above. X-tra: History of Bears in Cambodia Yes, we used to have bears in Cambodia. But when the bears started attaching the villagers in the middle of the night or when they were hunting; Khmer saw the bears as a threat, so we hunt and kill the bear to extinction. Dude, it was all about the bow and arrows; slingshot and spears. PING. PING. One by one the bear went down. We didn't just kill the bears because they were a threat but it was also a good source for meat. Khmer don't believe in killing anything if we're not going to eat it. Shoot, bear meat was tasty and the word spread and the bear became a delectacy. One popular technique used to kill the bear was, to slit open a fresh meat and stuff it with gun powder. And put the meat were the bears would hang-out. Then when the bear eat the meat, it would get a stomachache and DIE!!!! The hunter would come back the next day and there would be fresh bear meat. Cool, huh? Oh, I heard bear meat tastes like chicken. J ![]() ![]() Here you have the subscript "SAR" connected to the vowel "sat AH". ![]() Let's go READ some MORE.Copyright © 1999, Pok Khem .
